Government Questions Club La Costa Fractional Scam

Head of the Financial Ombudsman Service Abby Thomas is held to account by Dame Angela Eagle MP over the biggest timeshare scam in history. The 500 million pound Club La Costa and Diamond Resorts Fractional Ownership Scam was predominantly financed by Shawbrook Bank, which now owes victims hundreds of millions of pounds. The other two banks involved, Barclays and Hitachi, are now beginning to comply with the FOS final decision and high court ruling and compensate victims.

Unfortunately, Shawbrook Bank is doing all it can to delay rightful payments to sick, elderly and vulnerable victims. At the heart of the controversy is the Financial Ombudsman Service, who have dragged their heels for so long that at least 26 of our clients have died whilst waiting for justice. The evasive, incorrect and unknowledgeable answers given by Abby Thomas directly reflect how the Ombudsman has treated timeshare owners for the last ten years.

As with all consumer credit claims, time limits apply. As such, not claiming within the allotted timeframe could result in you losing out on your compensation payment.

If you took out a loan with Barclays, Hitachi or Shawbrook Bank to purchase a Club La Costa or Diamond Resorts Fractional Membership, you could qualify for a full refund, compensation, and any outstanding finance being written off.

We do not take any upfront fees, as such, you only pay us if we win. To check if you are eligible, get in touch.
